Macquarie student employment and COVID-19
As students and employers continue to be impacted by COVID-19, the Macquarie Student Employment team has created a temporary program called MQSE Job Rescue. This program helps support students finding paid employment opportunities and assists employers needing to fill essential positions as soon as possible.

MQSE has compiled a list of questions from employers, and answered them below.

Rates of pay will vary according to the role. Hourly rates offered must at least comply with the National Minimum standards. Roles requiring greater experience or a higher skill level are likely to pay a higher hourly rate.
Please note that the national minimum wage is currently $19.每小时84美元或753美元.每周38小时80英镑(税前). Casual employees covered by the national minimum wage also get at least a 25% casual loading.
Award and agreement free juniors get paid a percentage of the national minimum wage. 的 percentages are the same as the aged-based percentage scale in the Miscellaneous Award.

Are international students eligible to work?
Most international student visas allow them to work 40 hours per fortnight and full time in university session breaks.
